Technical founder responsible for building 4 cloud software and telecommunication businesses during the last 25 years and instrumental in driving turnarounds by implementing new products that re-energised sales teams and built huge value. Managed various tech company acquisitions and more recently orchestrated a reverse takeover of a UK listed business in order to move CloudCall up the food chain. Following CloudCall, in 2017, founded StaffCircle a next generation HR software for managing remote employees, then COVID hit and StaffCircle started to rocket.
Previously turned an ageing Mobile SP (Genesis) into a cutting edge Cloud play. With our product and engineering teams were responsible for the creation and implementation of Genesis Cloud based product strategy over 3 years which transformed the business into one of the UK’s leading Unified Communications provider at the time. Won Microsoft World Wide Partner of the Year 2007 for development of SaaS Unified Communications SaaS Product using Microsoft technology stack.
Main expertise is in SaaS software product/service design and technical innovations for the Cloud; from conception through to go-to-market strategy, and eventual exit.
Creator of various tech including the UK’s first Telecom web control panel, patented VoIP technology now owned by Cable & Wireless and CloudCall – one of the most integrated and advanced telephony Cloud APIs on the market.
Co-founded CloudCall (SYNETY) with just four people in order to realise the vision of integrating realtime communications with the worlds CRM software. The business grew rapidly through the startup and early stage phases and now has strong recurring revenues, over 100 staff and £35m+ valuation. Through a reverse takeover CloudCall Group plc was listed on AIM and I was instrumental in raising over £8m in funding from institutional investors.
In 2016 I exited the CloudCall business and became Non Exec Chairman and advisor for AppInstitute. AppInstitute’s Cloud technology allows businesses to build their own native Customer CRM integrated iPhone or Android smartphone app.
In late 2017 I decided to start building my 4th SaaS startup, StaffCircle.
StaffCircle’s mission is to Engage, Empower and Enhance all people at work. StaffCircle is a people engagement and performance management platform that provides omni-channel communication for all desk and non-desk based workers.
